CompliancePoint Releases Enhanced Version Of Its Continuous Compliance Portal

Duluth, GA, April 12, 2015 – CompliancePoint, an information security consulting and technology and compliance services provider, announced today the release of Version 2.0 of the Continuous Compliance Portal, a key component of its Continuous Compliance & Assurance Program. The 2.0 release includes numerous enhancements and new features that reduce the effort in managing critical compliance activities and tasks as well as offering more flexibility in managing the overall compliance effort.

CompliancePoint’s SaaS-based Compliance Automation Portal establishes a comprehensive program which validates compliance-related activities and evidence in real-time so that companies always know their compliance status and potential vulnerabilities. Greater benefits are realized when the Portal is used in conjunction with CompliancePoint’s Continuous Compliance & Assurance Program. Organizations get a more automated and effective means of achieving compliance with standards such as HIPAA/HITECH and PCI, as well as maintaining their compliance levels throughout the year. The Portal and the Continuous Compliance and Assurance Program reduce the cost, effort and time required to manage and prepare for compliance audits.

The 2.0 Portal release includes a large number of enhancements and new features that reduce the effort in managing critical compliance activities and tasks as well as offering more flexibility in managing the overall compliance effort. Considerable enhancements were made to the Portal dashboard providing role-based views, a calendar-based view of activities assigned to users, the ability to see details about specific compliance alerts, and the ability to assign activities to other users in a group.

Other Portal enhancements include the ability to define and manage custom controls, and the ability to manage compliance activities across multiple locations, divisions, entities or in a multi-tenant environment.

“What is special about the new capabilities in this version of the Continuous Compliance Portal are that they came primarily from customer feedback. This feedback continues to improve the technology and the process we call Continuous Compliance and Assurance,” said Jerry Wyble, Vice President and General Manager of CompliancePoint’s Information Security group. “It is critical in today’s environment of security breaches that organizations move away from a point-in-time approach to a Continuous Compliance model in order to protect against non-compliance and security vulnerabilities.”

Organizations in a wide variety of industries utilize CompliancePoint’s Portal and Continuous Compliance & Assurance Program. The company is demonstrating the new features at several industry events including the 2015 HIMSS Conference, a healthcare information technology event, this month in Chicago.
